The Philadelphia & Erie Railroad

Jersey Shore (Antes Fort), PA

rail pic 1907 postcard of the PRR passenger station at Jersey Shore, PA. I believe this is the P&E station, although the 1895 railroad map shows that Jersey Shore was also served by the Pine Creek Railroad. The map does not show the Pine Creek as part of the PRR. (courtesy of Ernie White)
Drew McGhee wrote to add:
The P&E / PRR only got as close to Jersey Shore as Antes Fort, PA, about 6 miles from Jersey Shore. The PRR called Antes Fort Jersey Shore in their public and employee timetable. Antes Fort was served by a trolley that ran between Jersey Shore and Antes Fort. The photo of the "Jersey Shore" station is probably the one at Antes Fort since the photo is marked Penna Station, Jersey Shore, PA. Jersey Shore itself was served by the NYC and its predessors. That old NYC station still exists in Jersey Shore and is an Agway store today (10/00).
